Projects Requiring Permits
Some examples of projects requiring permits are as follows:
Building Permits
Includes new construction, additions, alterations, or repairs to
either residential or non-residential buildings or structures. It
also includes covered patios, decks over 30" above grade, swimming
pools, fences over 6' in height, agricultural buildings, re-roofing,
window replacements and dry rot repair.
Electrical Permits
Includes new construction, additions, alterations, or repairs to
any electrical wiring, and electrical equipment in either a
residential or non-residential buildings or structures. It also
includes such work as service changes, sub-panels, adding outlets
or lights and temporary electrical poles.
Plumbing Permits
Includes new construction, additions, alterations, or repairs of
water piping, gas piping, drainage piping, water heaters, sewer
replacements, solar panels and plumbing fixtures.
Mechanical Permits
Includes new construction, alterations, repairs, replacements,
and / or removal of wood / pellet / gas fireplaces, inserts or
wood stoves, duct work, heating, ventilation, or air conditioning
equipment for each structure.
