Sutter County General Plan Update

This is your comprehensive source of information for the Sutter County
General Plan Update. The General Plan Update is a joint effort between
the County, its residents, and its businesses to create a shared vision
for the future of Sutter County.
The General Plan is a long-range policy document that sets forth broad
goals and policies for the growth and conservation of the County. As
required by State law, the updated General Plan takes a long-term view
and is designed to guide future land use decisions in the County over
the next 20 – 25 years. The process of updating the General Plan includes
many events that seek the participation of residents, businesses, and
property owners. This process is structured to lead the General Plan from
vision, to creation, to adoption by the Sutter County Board of Supervisors.
