Sutter County was awarded second place
in the 2003 Digital Counties Survey for governments with less than 150,000 in population.
The award recognizes entities that are using information technology (IT) to deliver high quality
service to its customers and citizens typically in the form of superior website development and
the conversion of government processes into electronically enabled formats. Sutter County
again ranked in the top-10 in 2004,
2005,
2006,
2007 and
2008.
The National Association of Government Webmasters awarded Sutter County's web design with the
2005 Pinnacle Award - Top Honors for counties meeting
the Medium Jurisdictions category. This award recognizes top competitors for overall excellence
in web design among public sector organizations. Sutter County received the
2006 Excellence Award in Design/Usability
for counties meeting the Small Population (under 100,000) category.
Still in 2006, Sutter County Departments of Information Technology and Human Services received a coveted
Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties (NACO). The award was granted for the development
and implementation of SutterHelps.org,
a Web-based information website which helps county residents qualify for Human Services Programs.
In 2004, the Sutter County Records Query Extranet Project won the
5th Annual Microsoft Government Solutions Showcase Award
for providing an exemplary solution for the public sector.
