Sutter County Website Receives Excellence Award
The National Association of Government Webmasters awarded Sutter County’s
web design with the
2006 Excellence in Design/Usability Award
for counties meeting the Small Population (under 100,000) category.
This award recognizes the strongest competitor for Design/Usability in web design
among public sector organizations in the small population group.
Evaluation criteria specific to the Design/Usability category included website Content,
Structure and Navigation, and Visual Design. Overall judging criteria were in the categories
of Design/Usability, Programming, and Strategic Innovation.
The Sutter County website won the Pinnacle Award in 2005. Entries were selected from over
50 entries in 22 states. One judge commented "...a top notch site. Powerful, functional
and aesthetically excellent..."
The Web Technologies Group received a plaque for Excellence Award.
The group accepts this award on behalf of the county employees who have
contributed to the immense amount of information, content, and applications
available on the website.
