Museum Archives and Research Facilities
The Museum holds a large number of local history books, photographs, records
and archives that are available for research. Research at the Museum is
available by appointment only on Tuesday through Friday.
Researchers from outside the area can request information by mail or email.
However, staff time is very limited for research. It is recommended that you
make an appointment and visit the Museum personally where staff can assist you
with your research project. The Museum does not charge for research. However,
researchers are asked to make a donation for staff time and materials.
Research assistance will be provided in Museum archives only. If you need
assistance with birth, death or marriage records, deeds or court records please
contact the Clerk Recorder of Sutter County. Further research assistance can
be found at the Sutter County US Gen Website and at the local chapter of the
Mormon Library on Butte House Road in Yuba City. Old newspapers can be found
on microfilm at the Sutter County Library in Yuba City.
