Jeff Boone was elected to the Sutter County Board of Supervisors in 2024 and took office in 2025. A lifelong District 1 resident, Boone is a farmer, businessman, and leader with a deep commitment to improving the quality of life for all Sutter County residents.
With a background in engineering construction and agriculture, Boone brings practical experience and a results-driven approach to county government. Accountability and transparency remain key priorities of his tenure on the Board of Supervisors, ensuring residents receive the strong and responsive leadership they deserve.
Boone has been a vocal advocate for fair trade and economic policy, having testified before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee in 2004 regarding the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). His firsthand knowledge of trade and agriculture gives him a unique perspective on policies that impact local farmers and businesses.
A third-generation farmer, Boone grows peaches and walnuts between Live Oak and Yuba City and also works as an almond and walnut broker, representing local growers. He is the son of Keith and Dorothy Boone and a graduate and Fellow of the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation (Class 33).
Deeply invested in his community, Boone has served as President of the Live Oak Lions Club and dedicated 25 years to Live Oak Little League, serving as both president and board member.
As Supervisor, Boone remains focused on securing funding to address budgetary challenges, strengthening local infrastructure, and ensuring that District 1 has a strong and effective voice in county government.
