Jeff Stephens has been a lifelong residence of Sutter County.  He has been married to his wife Cherie for the past 39 years. He has three children and four Grandchildren.

Not to go too far back, Jeff is a Chico graduate with a degree in Ag Business. After college, he returned back to Sutter County and had been farming for more than 40 years. He retired early in 2021 He farmed peaches, prunes, walnuts and melons.

He also graduated from the California Ag Leadership Program in 1995 in Class 24. He has a wide range of travel that includes Washington DC and the urban regions of Detroit for study. Internationally he has traveled to Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Italy, France, Puru, and Chile. He traveled multiple times to Mexico to build houses and also once again in 2018 to Cambodia where he and his wife Cherie worked in an orphanage. Jeff and Cherie Stephens, opened Stephens Farmhouse in 2002 which they just retired from this past year. He was a part of the Trauma Intervention Program for 4 years. Spent some time on the Board of Directors of Sunsweet Growers. Presently Jeff serves on the Board of Hope Point Nazarene Church. The Trauma Intervention Board and has been recently elected to the Sutter County Board of Directors. Jeff started the SAYLOVE non-profit in 2019 which has seen thousands of volunteers come out to serve the Yuba Sutter area.  His passion as of late is giving back to the community that has blessed him for the past 65 years.
