NOVEMBER 4, 2025 STATEWIDE SPECIAL ELECTION

All Sutter County registered voters received a vote by mail ballot for the Statewide Special Election in the mail beginning on October 6, 2025.We continue to process vote by mail ballots received in the mail and at the polls on election day, as well as conducting the audit of the election prior to certification. 

USPS operations are not impacted by the government shutdown.

IMPORTANT DATES

11/12/2025 - Last day to receive mail ballots with postmark on or before Election Day.

11/30/2025 - Last day to return signature verification statements.

12/02/2025 - First day counties can certify election results.

Signatures in Lieu of Filing Fee Period: December 19, 2025 - February 4, 2026

Nomination and Candidate Filing Period: February 9, 2026 - March 6, 2026
