Forensic behavioral health services are designed to meet the needs of persons who are involved in the criminal justice system and identified with a serious mental illness. The Forensic programs support both Sutter and Yuba County jails, and Superior Courts; and the Sutter County Probation Department. The Forensic Team consists of mental health professionals (Therapists & Case
Managers) who provide behavioral health services to meet the needs of those involved in the Criminal Justice System. Individuals who are identified, offered and have accepted behavioral health treatment are less likely to remain in custody and/or re-offend.
