Action Plan

The Building Resilient Communities Action Plan - Behavioral Health, updated December 19, 2024, describes the objectives, strategies, and actions to address behavioral health needs that Sutter County Public Health and our various community partners will implement to build a more resilient community in Sutter County. Here is an overview of the overarching vision and objectives included in the action plan:

  • Overarching Vision: Community members will view behavioral health conditions as being equivalent to other medical conditions, thereby destigmatizing, educating, and increasing access to behavioral health services.
    •  Objective: By January 2027, increase adult and youth mental health and substance use awareness by 25% compared to 2024 baseline.

Sutter Behavioral Health Learning Collaborative (SBHLC):

One key strategy defined in our Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) under Behavioral Health is to establish a learning collaborative to increase overall wellness through awareness of how to access, build, and better utilize the available behavioral health resources in our community.

The SBHLC convenes quarterly and consists of behavioral health professionals, behavioral health county service providers, and community partners to improve access to services and implement goals of the action plan.
