Meetings of the Sutter County Board of Supervisors will be conducted at the Yuba City Hall Council Chambers beginning with the regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 8.
In June, the Sutter County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with the City of Yuba City to rent the chamber facilities for $1,000 a month.
In addition to twice-monthly regular board meetings of the Board of Supervisors, the chambers will also be used by the Sutter County Planning Commission.
The former meeting location, the 19th century Hall of Records building at Second and B streets, would require extensive upgrades to continue to be used as an adequate location for meetings. In need of a new sound system, a new camera system for streaming meetings live on the internet, an improved audio/visual system, and other upgrades, the meeting facilities are considered to be less than optimal for conducting public business.
The Yuba City Hall Council Chambers are located at 1201 Civic Center Boulevard.
